Queen Didda Rana was Queen of Kshemagupta from AD 950, but these coins were not issued until she was sole ruler of the Yashaskara and parvaagupta Dynasties betwen AD 979 and 10003.

Denomination : Bronze stater.

Size : 17.7 x 18.4 mm. Weight : 5.91 grams.

Reference : Mitchiner Non-Islamic #177 to 178. CUNN CM I pt. IV, 16. 

Grade : Fine with a dark brown mixed with some green patina.

Obverse : King standing, although the designs have become very stylized compared to the related issued it is based on several hundred years earlier.  There are Brahmi characters  with SRI to the left, and DIDDA to the right.

Reverse : Goddess enthroned, with the Brahmi characters for DEVYA to the right.
