Pontius Pilate was the Roman Procurator of Judaea under Tiberius, whom presided over the trial of Christ.

Denomination : AE 17, probably a Prutah

Date : AD 31 to 32

Reference : Sear Greek Imperial - 5624

Size : 14.4 x 16.3 mm.  Weight : 2.00 grams.

Grade : VF for wear but poorly struck.  The date mark is difficult to read until you figure out it's orientation.

Obverse : Lituus (astrologers staff) with TIBERIOU KAICAROC around.

Reverse : The date mark LIH in a wreath (the L did not strike up, but the IH can be read).  This date mark stands for year-18 of Tiberius, which is AD 31 to 32.
