This is a fairly small coin

Reference : Thompson-1843 variety with shorter inscription.

Grade : aVF.  Note that these coins are struck concave (scyphate) intentionally.

Obverse : Short cross in a circle with AVR DVX around (the inscription is usually AVRIO DVX).  The obverse is on the convex side of the coin.

Reverse : Short cross on a circle, with S MARCV S around. The S's are turned on their sides and some letters are difficult to read because they are crudely engraved as is normal for this type. The reverse is on the concave side of the coin.
