Denomination : Gold stater. 

Size : 17.2 x 18.1 mm. Weight : 8.29 grams.

Reference MG-63, Sear-Greek 7497 variety.

Grade  : XF (virtually as struck) and without any test cuts (about 80% of the known specimens of these have a test cut on the head).

Obverse : Bust of Diodotos I right. 

Reverse : Zeus advancing left, brandishing his thunderbolt, with an aegis over his extended arm, and eagle at his feet, an N in the left field, all flanked by a Greek inscription naming King Antioch. 

The reverse inscription is in reference to Antiochos II of the Seleukid Empire, to whom Diodotos was a vassel prior to 255 BC (during which time this coin would have been struck).
