These coins were first issued by Govindachanzra ca. AD 1114 to 1154, but continued to be issued by his successors until about AD 1193.  It does not appear to be possible to differentiate between the coins issued by the different rules.

Denomination : Gold stater. This example has a more pale gold, rather than brown gold appearance these often have.

Size : 17.8 x 18.6 mm. Weight : 4.27 grams.

Obverse : Four-armed goddess Lakshmi seated forward.

Reverse : Three lines of Brahimi inscription translating to SRIMAD GO VINDA CHANDRA with a small Deva and altar symbol in the lower right.
