Illyria, (Epidamnos) Dyrrhachium. After 229 BC. 

Denomination : Silver drachm. 

Reference : Sear Greek - 1900 to 1901 variety 

Size : 17.0 x 17.8 mm. Weight : 2.86 grams.

Grade : F but reverse off-center.

Obverse : Cow with calf, with head of Apollo above, and the  moneyer's name FILWN  above the cow's back.

  Reverse : Double star pattern in a square, with an inscription naming the city around.  Much of the city name is off the flan part of DY (the bottom of the letters) is visible, as well as MEN (part of MENISKO) which is enough to confirm the city.

This type is from very late in the Dyrrhachium series, at a time when there was a high mint production and most coins were struck carelessly.
