Illyria, (Epidamnos) Dyrrhachium. After 229 BC. 

Denomination : Silver drachm. 

Reference : Sear Greek - 1900 to 1901 variety 

Size : 16.3 x 18.9 mm. Weight : 2.85 grams.

Grade : gF/F, a little off-centre.

Obverse : Cow with calf, with head of Apollo above, and the  moneyer's name FILWN  above the cow's back.

  Reverse : Double star pattern in a square, with an inscription naming the city around.  Much of the city name is off the flan part of DY is visible, as well as NISKOU (part of MENISKOY).

This type is from very late in the Dyrrhachium series, at a time when there was a high mint production and most coins were struck carelessly.
