Ancient Coins - Germany, Saxony. Silver Spitzgroschen. DATED 1475.
zoom view

Struck under Ernst, Albrecht and Wilhelm III.  This is an example of a European pre-1501 dated coin.

Denomination : Silver Spitzgroschen (1/2 Groschen).

Date : 1475, written with the 7 in the form of L, and the 5 in a odd early form which cannot be shown with the fonts available to me.  See the inset image for the date oriented straight up and down.

Size : 20.2 x 20.9 mm.  Weight : 1.39 grams.

Reference : Frey 162.

Grade : F with weak areas.  The date is clear, but the the coin has been slightly bent and straightened.

Obverse : Shield of Saxony with E W A D G DVCES SX TV L MARTIS (the RT is ligate) around.

Reverse : Arms in trilobate circle, with GROSSVS NOVVS MARTINIS L5 around (the letter forms on MARTINIS are strange and it is difficult to read).

I have listed the obverse and reverse position the way most German auctions do, but Frey lists the dated side as the obverse.
