Date : Issued in AD 79 to 81 by Titus.

Reference : Sear-2597.  RIC-166.  C-12.

Size : 26.9 x 27.5 mm.  Weight : 10.65 grams.

Grade : VF with some smoothing in the fields.  The green spots seem to be a hard stable verdigre. 

Obverse : Head of Germanicus left, with GERMANICVS CAESAR TI AVG F DIVI AVG N around.

Reverse : S C with IMP T CAES DIVI VESP F AVG REST around.

Germanicus was the brother of Claudius and father of Caligula.  He died in AD 19 and most coins in his name were issued long after his death, by either Caligula or Claudius.  The particular sepecimen was issued much later, by Titus.
