Denomination : Silver Groat.  Mint : London.

Date : Light coinage of AD 1464 to 1470 with Initial mark rose, used from 1464 to 1465.

Reference : Spink-2000.

Size : 23.5 x 24.5 mm.  Weight : 2.77 grams.

Grade : Fine, but with scratches and the coin been clipped (the standard for this issue is 3.11 grams, and this coin is now only 2.77 grams).

Obverse : Head of Edward IV forward with quatrefoils at the neck, with EDWARD DIE GRA REX ANGL FRANC A around.

Reverse : Long cross with two circles of inscriptions.  The inner circle reads CIVITAS LONDON.  The outer circle reads POSVI DEVM ADIVTORE MEVM (Latin for I HAVE MADE GOD MY HELPER).

Because of the clipping, parts of the inscription are off the edge.
