It is likely this type was issued during both the rule of William de la Roche, AD 1280-1287 and the minority of Guy II de la Roche, AD 1287 to 1294.  Because the medieval form of William is spelled with a G for the W, both William and Guy could have used this inscription starting with a G.

Denomination : Billon denier.  Mint : Athens.

Reference : COINS OF THE CRUSADER STATES - Pages 387 #90 (with a rosette stop o each side).  This a class C which is a later variety so probably struck during the minority of Guy II.

Size : 18.3 x 19.6 mm.  Weight : 0.83 grams.

Grade : Fine / VF

Obverse : Short cross with G DVX ATENES around.

Reverse : Castle tournois, with ThEBANI CIVIS around.
