Denomination : Silver denarius.  Mint : Lugdunum.

Reference : Sear-6173.  RSC-51

Size : 16.8 x 17.5 mm.  Weight : 2.26 grams.

Obverse : Head of Clodius Albinus right, with IMP CAES D CLO ALBIN AVG around.

Reverse : Minerva, holding olive branch, resting on a shield, with a spear proped against her, with MIN PAC COS II around.

Issues of Clodius Albinus as Augustus are much rarer than as Caesar, and are always of some what cruder style, and usually more poorly struck.  This is a relatively nice example of such a type.
