Denomination : Bronze 1/2 jin square foot spade. 

Date : These are dated to the later Zhou Dynasty, ca 350 to 250 BC. 

Mint : These were made in the area controlled by the State of Liang.  Hartill says the "Pi Shi" inscriptions refers to the "PI" Clan in W.W. Shanxi.

Reference :  Hartill 3.348.  FD-211.

Size : 47.0 x 27.6 mm.  Weight : 5.88 gram.

Grade : Fine with a slightly crusty green patina.

Obverse : "PI SHI" (which is a clan name as discussed above).

Reverse : Three vertical oblique lines but no characters.

Provenance : ex Klaas Kruit collection.
