Reign title : Ch'ung-Ning.  Date : This title was used from AD 1102 to 1106.

Denomination : issued as a 10 cash, but later reduced to a circulating 3 cash most consistent with their weights.

Size : 34.2 mm.  Slightly smaller than usual for these.

Weight
: 7.70 grams.  This is very light for one of these, with the norm being above 10 grams.  It is likely this example which genuine to the Northern Sung period, was not cast in the official mint but rather by a counterfeiter taking advantage of the 10 cash denomination but only a 3 cash weight.

Grade : Fine and slightly crudely cast compared to how these usually look.

Obverse : "CH'UNG NING CHUNG PAO" in orthodox script.

Reverse : blank.
