Date : AD 1644 to 1645.

Denomination : Bronze 2 cash.

Reference : Schjoth-1295.

Size : 26.4 mm.   Weight : 4.53 grams.

Grade : gVF with some heavy original files marks on the surfaces and edges (as this type should have), with some original casting textures preserved.  The flat spot on the edge is a flaw from when it was manufactured.

After casting, the surfaces of coins in this period were filed with a course file to remove excess metal and trim the edges.  This course file left heavy file marks on the surfaces when all specimens of this type would have exhibited when newly minted, and which are well preserved on this specimen.

Obverse : "Lung-wu T'ung-pao".

Reverse : blank.
