Grade : gVF, nicely toned.

Obverse : Short cross, with CARLVS IMP AVG around .

Reverse : Karolus monogram with BITVRICES CIVIT around.

There has been some question as to if this type should be assigned to Charles the Bald or Charles the Fat a few decades latter, but on page 233-234 of MEC this is discussed and the reason why this type should be Charles the Bald are given.
