Obverse : Christ enthroned forward, raising his right hand in benediction, with IHS XIS REX REGNANTI around.

Reverse : Facing figures Romanus III and Mary, with Mary raising her hand to crown Romanus, with MQ between their heads, and QCE bOHQ RWMANW around.   There are seven pellets on the fold of Romanus' gown, which is unsual as these usually have only four.
