Denomination : Bronze follis.  Mint : Constantinople.

Reference : Sear-1823.

Size : 28.8 x 29.8 mm.  Weight : 10.39 grams.

Grade : gVf with a full face on Christ (they are seldom seen this well struck on the face).  The reverse is a little off-centre.

Obverse : Bust of Christ forward, holding the book of Gospels, with a nimbus cross behind, with IC XC to the sides.

Reverse : Cross on steps with a three line inscription IS XS bASILE bASILE (meaning JESUS KING OF KINGS), with a few of the letters are in part off the flan at the top.
