Denomination : Billon Sceattas.

Mint : Uncertain, English.

Reference : An example of this type as sold on the Italo Vecchi auction #11 on 5th June 1998, a lot #80 (slightly nicer, but made 350 British pounds).   He references it as Series R10, Metcalf p. 519, MNC type 77 B. S.832.  I do not see an equivalent to it in the newer Spink volumes, but the inscription is listed as North 165.

Size : 11.8 x 12.4 mm.  Weight : 0.76 grams.

Grade : crude VF.

Obverse : Diademed bust left, with a runic inscription reading WIGMEAD to the left, and the Latin letters OAO to the right.

Reverse : Standard, with four crosses around, with a degraded internal design.
