A pallasite is a meteorite composed of olivine crystals in a nickle iron matrix, and are a fairly rare type making up only about 3% of known meteorites.  This specimen has been cut into a roughly rectangular slice, and was slightly polished on one side to remove the saw marks on that side.  Because the Prahin pallasite tends to be slightly unstable (it rust easily).  Because of this, it is a good idea to oil these once in a while.
