Ferdinand II was Holy Roman Emperor from 1620 to 1637, King of Bohemia from 1620 to 1637, King of Hungary from 1618 to 1637.  This particular coin was issued by him as King of Bohemia from the Bohemian mint of Breslau.

Denomination : 3 Kreuzer. Mint : Breslau.

Date : 1627 HR

Size : 13.9 x 14.2 mm. Weight : 1.77 grams.

Grade : gVF, toned with a very slight golden hue to the toning.

Obverse : Head of Ferdinand II right, with FERD II D G ROM IM S A G H B REX around, with the denomination mark breaking the inscription at the bottom, and the date 1627 on the truncation of the bust

Reverse : Double headed eagle with arms on his chest, holding a sword in each foot, with ARCHIDVX AV DVX BVR CO TI around, with the mint masters initials at the bottom.

This coin was struck on a roller press, so has a very slight gentle curve to the flan, as is normal for coins struck by this method.
