Denomination : Billon pfennig.  Mint : Vienna.

Date : undated but the type is assumed to have been struck ca. AD 1463 under the mint master Valentine Liephart.

Size : 13.8 X 14.5 mm nearly square.  Weight : 0.43 grams.

Reference : Szego #2L42

Grade : VF

Obverse : Tri-lobed arms with the shield of Vienna in the middle, with stars in the outside angles, with W H L around the shield.  WH stands for Wiener Hausgenossen (Vienna) and L stands for the mint master Valentine Liephart.

Reverse : Blank (this is a uniface coin).  Most of what appears to be designs on the reverse are ghosting from the obverse, but there are a few that appear to be real designs.  I am not certain if this is a mint error flip strike (over struck on the same type) or if it is over struck on an earlier type, but since overstrikes are not normal in this series I believe it is a flip strike error.
