Denomination : AE 3. Mint : uncertain.
Date : issue of AD 401 to 403.
Reference : This type is listed in RIC X, page 248, #85 (Constantinople), 91 (Nicomedia), 94 (Cyzicus)_ and 97 (Antioch). Without a visible mint mark the mint could only be determined based on style, and I have made to attempt to do so (but it could probably be done).
Size : 16.7 x 18.0 mm. Weight : 2.47 grams.
Grade : Good Fine / Fine with a dark green patina with lighter earthy highlights.
Obverse : 3/4 facing bust of Arcadius holding a spear behind his shoulder, with D N ARCADIVS PF AVG around.
Reverse : Constantinoplis enthroned forward with head left, holding a long sceptre an a small figure of Victory on globe, with CONCORDIA AVGG around, but the mint mark below does not show.
