Denomination : Silver stater.

Reference : Sear-2249 var., Pegasi II, page 490, 26.

Size : 20.9 x 21.4 mm. Weight : 8.46 grams.

Grade : XF, but there is a trace of porosity in isolated parts of the coin.

Obverse : Pegasos flying left with an AN monogram (for  Anaktorion) below his chest.

Reverse : Head of Athena right, wearing a Corinthian helmet, with a tripod and an AN monogram behind.

It is interesting that this type has the AN monogram for the name of the city on both the obverse and reverse.  While this is not unusual for this city, it is rather unusual on Greek coins in General.
