14.45mm, 3.64gm. Gandhara mint. bearded bust right wearing lion headdress, long ribbons flow upward from hair in pleats, reverse fire altar with 'Gondopharan' symbol on shaft, bust on altar.
Gobl Kushan 1125, Mitchiner ACW 1284v, Alram IP 1463, Zeno #101473. Fine. Very fine. (better in hand).
 
 
Note:
The Kushano-sasanians were sasanian princes ruling the old kushan lands in Bactria, the Kabul valley and Gandhara, as sasanian vasalls. Some periods these kushan-shahs were more or less independent, like this ruler, Hormazd I Kushanshah, ruling about AD 295-325 (or 270-295 according to Cribb). Mint for this type might be the Kabul valley.
