Crowned bust right / Anahit seated facing under domed canopy, holding wreath and scepter.
Carter –; Cribb SI 19, #16 (Bactrian issues), Mitchiner ACW 1264, Gobl Kushan 1028.
Very fine, nice earthen green patina, flan cracked at 4 O'clock. Rare Portrait almost like Shapur III.
 
 
Note:
The Kushano-sasanians were sasanian princes ruling the old kushan lands in Bactria, the Kabul valley and Gandhara, as sasanian vasalls. Some periods these kushan-shahs were more or less independent, like this ruler, Hormazd I Kushanshah, ruling about AD 295-325 (or 270-295 according to Cribb). Mint for this type might be the Kabul valley.
