Germe, Mysia, civic coinage: Æ26, ca. 160-180 AD, 8.31gm, 25.7mm. Obv: IEPA CYNKΛHT[OC]; draped bust of a youthful Senate right. Rev: CEΞI ΦAY-CTOY ΓEP-MH; Zeus seated left holding eagle and scepter. SNG Van Aulock 1090v (rev. legend); SNG France 951v (rev. legend). gVF, fine style.
This coin can be dated to around 160-180 AD because the stategos indicated in the legend, Faustoy, also appears on coins of Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus, but was apparently no longer in office during the reign of Commodus.
