Eastern Celts: Boii AR drachm, ca. 50 BC, 2.18gm, 16.4mm.  Obv: Head right, laurel branch between two twisted lines.  Rev: Celticized horse left, bird perched left on back, three parallel lines descending from horse's belly, pellet beneath horse’s tail.  Dembski 658-660; Paulsen 1048-1051/1053-1055 (sod).  gVF; better preserved than any example of this type appearing in a major auction in the last 12 years.
