SVPERBOS -- Pius V, kneeling in supplication papal crown at his knee, angels in clouds above assisting the battle below on left, prelates and faithful and partial view of the buildings of the Vatican at his back. Bronze, Uncirculated, 39.70 mm, 29.0 g, Edge: Plain, smooth, no mint marks, This is a late 19th Century strike modeled on an original piece struck in the 17th Century attributed to Giovanni Antonio De Rossi. Scarce and very attractive!
