Reverse: PROFECTIO AVG. Caracalla in military dress standing right, holding spear; behind, two standards.

Quality specimen of this scarce (rated S by RIC IV-1) and interesting type, commemorative of the Caracalla's departure to his Parthian campaign. EF+ condition, conserving full details in both sides (including a spectacular portrait of Caracalla), bold reliefs and precious silver, with part of its original luster well preserved.
