SASANIAN.Khusru ( Husrav ) II Parvis ( The Victorious ) 2nd reign AD 591-628.AR.Drachm. Regnal year 8( AD 598 ). mint MA ( possibly Mah, Media ) ( 3.95g, 31.2mm, 3h ).

Draped bust of Khusru II right wearing an elaborate winged mural crown with frontal crescent, kolymbos in crescent on right shoulder, crescent on left shoulder, outer circle star and crescent at 9,3 and 6 o'clock

Reverse.Fire altar with ribbons flanked with a star and crescent, attendant either side, mint signature to right and regnal year, outer circle star and crescent at 9, 12, 3 and 6 o'clock.

Good very fine, some weak areas in strike, obverse some light porosity.

Mad and Masabadan have also been suggested for this mint.
