brass Sestertius, Rome mint. Obv. Laureate head facing right. Rev.
Fortuna standing, looking right, holding cornucopiae and rudder resting
on globe SC across fields. 24.08g, die axis 7h (Sear 4163 (RCV II)). The
fields lightly smoothed, nonetheless an attractive coin, the patina a
pleasing sage green, the devices clear, a lovely coin in hand and last
seen on the market some 15 years ago! Almost extremely fine.
