SYRIA, Seleucis and Pieria. Laodicea ad Mare. Caracalla. AD 198-217. AR Tetradrachm (27mm, 11.88 g, 12h). Struck AD 212-213. Laureate head right / Eagle standing facing, head left, with wreath in beak and wings spread; star between legs. McAlee, Severan Group 4, 33; Prieur 1155 (citing 3). Good VF, minor roughness. Very rare.
