The flans for this coinage was repared in the same manner as the bronzes of Ptolemaic Egypt, they were cast in moulds with several cavaties where the metal would run.Unlike the Ptolemies who put the flans on a lathe to smooth the surfaces the Numidians appear to have simply broken off the sprue resulting in irregular shaped flans. The die axis however appears to be the 12 O'clock as found on Ptolemaic bronzes.
