Ref:SNG Cop 275 ( Alexandria mint ).
Very fine. Rare issue naming his sister-wifeCleopatra II.

The mint-signature ΠΑ for Paphos,Cyprus was adopted by the later Ptolemies for the production of Alexandrian silver tetradrachms , the theory is that the Cypriot issues were of higher silver content. The difference can be seen with the naked eye as those of Alexandria have a greyish colour. it is, however, curious that somecopper coins should alsobear the same mint-signature.The flan of this coin is that of the mint of Alexandria- those of Cyprus are distinct.
