This is an outstanding green faience shabti for the Priest Sematauitefnakht.
The size of the shabti is 12,3 cm
This item is completely intact, no repairs or restorations.
The shabti has a column with an inscription which reads as follows: "sHD Wsir smsw Hm-nTr smA-tAwj-tAj=f-nxt "Illuminating of Osiris, the elder one, the God's servant, Sematauitefnakht"
The name Sematauitefnakht "The one who unites the two lands is his strenght" is a typical name for the Late period (cf. Ranke, Personennamen, p.296 no.13)
The epitheton "The one who unites the two lands" refers to the god Horus
The titles "Elder one" and "God's servant" are priestly titles.
The God's sevants were priest who were permanently responsible for the cult at the temple.
The "Elder ones" constituted some kind of senate at the temple.
For instance, they were responsible for jurisdiction or the administration of the temple.
