This coin names Vonones on the obverse and Spalahores on the reverse. It is highly unusual in that the Greek and Kharoshthi legends are not translations of one another. While the Greek legend proclaims King Vonones the Great, King of Kings, the Kharoshthi on the reverse says: "of Spalahores, the king's brother, the just." SCARCE and in CHOICE condition for the type. |
