An ancient Phoenicia silver tetradrachm from the city of Arados, dated to year 196 of the Phoenician calendar or 64/63 BC. 


The obverse with the turreted, veiled and draped bust of deity Tyche. 


The reverse with the goddess of Victory Nike, standing left, holding wreath and palm frond, wreath around. The legend reading:


ARADIWN


"Of Arados"


Pheonician date and control symbols in left field.



In many ancient Greek city states such as Arados, (itself occupying an island but controlling a large area on the mainland), Tyche was the tutelary deity, governing the prospertity and good fortune of the city.
