KINGS OF PARTHIA Mithridates I ca 164-132 bc. Drachm(AR; 15-16mm; 3.31g; 12h) Seleucia mint, 140/139 BC. Obv. Diademed head with medium beard to right. Rev. Zeus enthroned to left; in field left, monogram; in exergue [ΓO]P (= SE 173 = BC 141-140). Very Rare, Sellwood 13.8

Historical Note: This is a very rare and historical dated coin of Mithradates I.
Almost all of the Parthian drachms are undated, except a very few.
Mithradates I (مهرداد اول) in expanding Parthian Empire, managed to defeat the Seleucid occupation of Seleucia, minting his victory coins in Seleucia from autumn of 140 BC.
