The "countermark" on this coin has obviously been carved into the die itself. A SUPERB specimen of a rare coin type, showing the full head of Phraates, the full eagle with the diadem, and a wonderful head of "Eucratides" (see photo below)! Perhaps the nicest one I have ever seen. |
