Posthumous issue (struck after Alexanders death).

Denomination : Silver tetradrachm.  Mint : Amphipolis

Date : ca. 315 to 294 BC.
 
Reference : Price-448.  Sear-6721 variety.

Size : 23.5 x 26.0 mm.  Weight : 16.78 grams.

Grade : good Fine to about VF, but slight off-centre on the reverse. 
 
Obverse : Head of Herakles right, wearing the lion's skin.
 
Reverse : Zeus seated left, holding a sceptre and eagle with a torch and  L  below his arm, with ALEXANDROU to the right, the area below the thone appears to be blank (there is tiny spot that appears to be a die flaw rather than an intentional symbol).   Apart of the lamda and torch are off the flan.
