Denomination : Silver Siglos.

Date : The dating of this is not yet firmly fixed, and while the earliest examples might have been struck by Croesus between 561 and 546 BC, they were certainly struck after that period, most likely through the reigns of of the Persian rulers Cyrus, Cambyses and probably during the beginning of Darius I (down to about 510 BC).

Size : 15.8 x 13.3 mm.  Weight : 5.25 grams.

Grade : VF with better than average metal (only very minor crystallization). There is a small bankers stamp on the edge on one end.

Obverse : Foreparts of a Bull and Lion facing each other.

Reverse : Incuse square in two parts.

These are amoung the earliest silver coins.
