Denomination : AE Prutah
Reference : Sear Greek 6088.
Size : 13.0 x 14.8 mm. Weight : 1.58 grams.
Grade : gVF with sandy highlighting over a dark green patination.
Obverse : Anchor in a circle. The inscription BASILEWS ALEXANDROU would have been outside of the circle, but as is normal for these, only fragemens of the inscriptions is visible (examples with full inscriptions are very rare because the design on the dies was significantly larger than the flans these are normally struck on).
Reverse : 8 pointed star in a circle of dots, with a fragementary uncertain Hebrew inscription around (one can see a few letters on this coin, and I am not certain if examples with a full inscription exist, which is probably why it is an uncertain inscription).
