These Hephthalite gold staters imitate the Kushano-Sassanid gold staters Varahran issued about 350 BC, but are of cruder style, with the inscription to the left of the obverse now little more than a rings of large dots.

Denomination : Gold Stater.  Mint : Somewhere in Afghanistan, probably Kabul.

Date : about the time of Khingila ca. 430 to 490 AD.

Reference : Gobl 84, Mitchiner Ancient - 1413 variety.

Size : 32.5 x 33.5 mm in diameter, and about 4.4 mm deep (scyphate).

Weight
: 7.64 grams.

Grade : gVF for this issue.   Typical poorly struck reverse.  

Obverse : King standing left, with various inscriptions and symbols around.

Reverse : Siva standing forward, with a bull behind her.
