Denomination : Silver 6 pence.  Mint : London.

Date : dated 1561, with initial mark "pheon"

Reference : Spink-2560.

Size : 24.5 x 24.9 mm.  Weight : 2.63 grams.

Grade : VF.  Typical minor weak areas, as seen on the lower part of the bust, and various spots in the inscriptions.   There are also a few small flan defects, most noticably on the edge at 5 o'clock, and a small fissure in the metal on the rose (which is much more noticable on the image than on the actual coin).  There is also a slight disturbance in the metal just in front of the face that appears to a natural part of the flan. 

Obverse : Head of Elizabeth left, with ELIZABETH D G' ANG FR ET HI REGINA around (meaning Elizabeth by the grace of God, England, France, and Ireland, Queen).

Reverse : Long cross through a shield, with the date 1561 above the shield, with POSVI DEV' ADIVTOREM MEV (meaning I HAVE MADE GOD MY HELPER).
