Denomination : 1/2 Jin.

Mint : This type is from the City of Fenyang in Shanxi, which I believe was in the area controled by the State of Qi at the time.

Reference : H-3.69 (Hartill rarity band 6).

Size : 57.2 x 30.2 mm.  Weight : 5.42 gram.

Grade : VF with clear characters, but the feet have been modified to try and turn it from a pointed foot spade to round foot spade (which would be much rarer).  I suspect it was found with the bottom of the right foot chipped, so they rounded them off to make it look better as well as rarer.  This is a scarce type and if not damaged would be a $250 to $300 item.

Obverse : "FEN"  which is short for Fenyang in Shanxi.

Reverse
: No characters (just the usually straight lines).

Provenance : ex Klaas Kruit collection.
