Denomination : Silver stater.  Date : ca. 370 to 333 BC.

Reference : Sear Greek - 5398 variety.  BMC-41 variety.

Size : 21.8 x 23.7 mm.  Weight : 10.61 grams.

Grade : VF with nice toning.

Obverse : Two naked wrestlers grappling, with BI between them.

Reverse : A slinger walking right while discharging his sling, with ESTFEDIIVS to the left (the first and last letters are off the flan).

A similar one was sold by CNG on Mail Bid Sale 58, lot 667 (19, Sept. 2001) with the same BI.  They included a comment that the BI was at that time an un-published mark.  Our coin is struck from the same obverse die, but a different reverse die.
