ArtAncient Limited have acquired the majority of a large and eclectic coin collection, from the estate of a deceased Chester gentleman. The collection was formed from the 1940's-1970's. What makes the collection particularly exciting is the meticulous inventory that the collector kept, often recording the date and place of purchase in addition to the typology of the coin. Collectors will be aware that it is unusual to get such a positive sign of provenance going so far back in time, making coins from this collection a particularly good investment.

Each coin comes complete with an index card that includes all the details of the coin and the place and date of the original purchase - in this case 8 April 1967 from a Mr P Minns.
