China, The Ming Dynasty (Board of Revenue), 1 Kuan (1000 Cash) dated 1368-1399. Printed on traditional mulberry bark paper and bearing the imperial Red Seal of Emperor Hung Wu. Preserved in good condition with some rifts. A remarkable example of the world’s earliest known banknote.
