Norfolk 24c: The commercial halfpenny of Richard Dinmore & Son Norwich
Nice Sharp Proof-like Unc, with some pretty underlying colours; usual small reverse die cracks. As with many of the commercial Norfolk tokens, this was produced by the expert team of Wyon and Kempson. "More Trade and Fewer Taxes." We'll all drink to that, provided it's not tainted by corporate and political corruption (which of course is never). Richard Dinmore carried on a business at Timber Hall, Norwich, as a saddler's ironmonger and hemp merchant (rumor has it that junior particularly enjoyed hanging out at the local pub with his friends to discuss the universe and overdose on rum ice cream).
